FAQ: Can Focal record phone or VoIP conversations?

Yes. Focal supports phone transcription. To set this up, first go to Settings > Phone transcription, and follow the steps below:
Add your own phone number. Currently, we require each phone number to be unique to each advisor in the firm. We currently do not support shared office lines or extensions.
Save the Focal number to your phone: You can either scan the QR code or manually save the Focal number to your phone.
Merge in the Focal number to transcribe: To transcribe a client phone call, create a 3 way call with your client and Focal, by merging / conference calling the Focal number from your phone or VoIP solution.
See your processed Conversation: After the call, you will be able to see the processed conversation under your Conversation tab.
