FAQ: Why is my meeting summary is missing or incomplete?

If your meeting summary is missing or incomplete, the most common causes are the conversation still processing, a very short recording, or disabled summary sections.

Common causes

1. Conversation is still processing

AI analysis can take a few minutes after the meeting ends.

Fix: Wait a few minutes and refresh the page.

2. Recording was too short

Very short recordings may not produce full summaries. Please ensure that Focal stays recording the entire meeting. Common issues include not using the correct mic, your laptop failing asleep, or failing to click "resume" if the Focal app pauses when receiving a phone call during a meeting.

3. Summary sections are disabled

Fix: Go to Settings > AI customization > Conversation summaries and ensure desired sections are toggled on.

4. Try reprocessing

Fix: Open the conversation, click the three-dot menu, and select "Reprocess".
