What meeting types does Focal support?

Focal recognizes three meeting types, each with tailored AI summary sections: Self dictation meeting, General client meeting, and Intro & discovery client meeting. The meeting type is automatically determined by Focal's AI.

Meeting types

• Self dictation meeting — Solo voice notes. 4 summary sections: Quick summary, General discussion, Action items, Meeting overview.
• General client meeting — Ongoing client meetings. 12 summary sections including financial facts, goals, and insurance.
• Intro & discovery client meeting — First meetings with new clients. 11 summary sections plus the Data tab and coaching scores.

Good to know

• The meeting type determines which features (Data tab, coaching scores) are available.
• Meeting type badges appear on the conversation detail page header.
• Customize sections per meeting type in Settings > AI customization > Conversation summaries.
