How do I use phone transcription?

Answer

Focal can transcribe phone calls by conferencing in Focal's phone number. Set up your phone number in Settings > Phone transcription, then create a 3-way call with your client and Focal's number to record and transcribe the call.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > Phone transcription

  2. Click "+ Add phone" to add your personal phone number

  3. Save the appropriate Focal phone number to your contacts (or scan the QR code to add it to your contacts):

  • US: 866-512-4949

  • Canada: 888-702-3625

  1. When you're on a client call, add Focal's number as a 3-way / conference call

  2. Focal will transcribe the call and create a conversation you can view later

Good to know

  • The Focal phone number is (US) 866-512-4949 or (CA) 888-702-3625.

  • You need to add your own phone number to Focal first so the system can link the call to your account.

  • The transcribed call appears in your Conversations list after processing, just like a video meeting.
