How do I invite Focal to a live video meeting?

Answer

Click "+ Add meeting" in the left sidebar and select "Invite" to add Focal to a live video meeting that's currently happening. You can also toggle "Join video meeting" on any upcoming meeting from the Today page.

Steps — Invite to a live meeting

  1. Click "+ Add meeting" in the left sidebar
  2. Select "Invite" (labeled "Add to a live video meeting")
  3. Enter the meeting link or details
  4. Focal's bot will join the meeting to record and transcribe

Steps — Toggle auto-join for an upcoming meeting

  1. Go to the Today page
  2. Find the upcoming meeting with a video link
  3. Toggle the "Join video meeting" switch to on
  4. Focal will automatically join at the scheduled time

Good to know

  • The meeting must have a Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet link for Focal to join.
  • Focal's bot appears as "Focal Assistant" by default. You can change this name in Settings > Joining meetings > Bot Name.
  • The "Join video meeting" toggle only appears on meetings that have a video conferencing link in the calendar event.
